The RS485 Tube Soil Temperature and Humidity is a layered soil moisture determination device that uses frequency domain reflectance (FDR) technology to measure the moisture and salt content of the soil. This technology determines the dielectric constant of the soil by analyzing the frequency change in the soil of the electromagnetic waves emitted by the detector, which in turn calculates the moisture and salt content of the soil.
These instruments are capable of directly measuring soil moisture and temperature, and the tube design allows for simultaneous monitoring of soil parameters at different depths and real-time data transmission to a data center via a GPRS network or RS485 interface.
