The photoelectric rain gauge is a rain detector based on the optical principle, which utilizes changes in light signals to measure rainfall. It is a relatively new rainfall detection technology with the advantages of high accuracy, fast response and reliability.
The working principle of the optical rain gauge is as follows:
Optical rain sensor using pure sinusoidal infrared light source, built-in narrow-band filter, rain-sensing surface of 78 square centimeters, can measure rainfall with high accuracy, not affected by high intensity sunlight and other light. High transmittance rain sensor cover does not affect the direct sunlight, compatible with other built-in optical sensors, such as light, total radiation, ultraviolet sensors.
The photoelectric rain gauge has the following features and advantages -
1. High accuracy: The photoelectric rain gauge is capable of high precision rainfall measurement and can accurately measure rainfall as small as a trace amount.

5. No maintenance: the structure of photoelectric rain gauge is simple, not easy to be affected by raindrops clogging and other problems, almost no need for maintenance and cleaning.
