Optical time domain reflectometer product overview
Optical time domain reflectometer accurately locates optical breakpoints, helps to quickly diagnose and resolve optical fiber faults, and improves network reliability and stability.6426AOptical time domain reflectometer is a 7-inch capacitive full touch screen, integrating automatic OTDR, expert OTDR, event map, optical power meter (OPM), visual red light fault location (VFL), stable light source (LS), multi-core test, loss test and other functions. The maximum dynamic range of OTDR is 28dB, which can achieve accurate testing up to 100km, the minimum event blind area is 3m, and the sampling resolution is up to 2.5cm. It is equipped with a 4600mAh high-density and large-capacity polymer lithium battery, with intelligent power saving management, and supports power supply and charging by power bank.
6426A is used to measure the length, loss, connection quality and other parameters of various optical fiber cables. It is widely used in the fields of fiber-to-the-home, metropolitan area network and secondary backbone network communication system engineering construction, line maintenance and emergency repair testing, optical fiber cable research and production measurement.

Fast automatic testing
The automatic test function makes it unnecessary for users to know more details about the operation of the instrument. The test steps become very simple. Users only need to enter "Auto OTDR", connect the optical fiber to the corresponding OTDR port of the product, and click the [Auto Test] button. The instrument will automatically set the corresponding test conditions and give the final test results, including test curves and event lists.
Automatic light detection and alarm function
When the OTDR tests a fiber link, if there is a communication optical signal in the fiber, the test result will be inaccurate, and even the detector inside the instrument will be irreversibly damaged. The 6426A has the function of automatically monitoring the communication optical signal in the tested fiber. As long as the tested fiber is connected to the product optical interface, it will automatically sense and monitor whether there is a communication optical signal in the fiber during the test phase. Once an optical signal is detected, an alarm message will be prompted in time to provide timely protection for the instrument.
