The Fixed Ultrasonic Flow Meter is an instrument that measures flow based on the characteristics of ultrasonic propagation in fluids. Its working principle is rooted in the fact that when ultrasonic waves travel through a fluid, the propagation time in the downstream and upstream directions varies with the fluid's flow velocity. By detecting this time difference, the fluid's flow velocity can be accurately calculated, and then the flow rate data can be derived.
It requires contact with the medium. Traditional flow meters often need direct contact with the measured medium, which may cause the medium to contaminate the flow meter, or damage the flow meter when measuring some corrosive or high-viscosity media, affecting measurement accuracy and service life. However, the TDS-100 Fixed Ultrasonic Flow Meter adopts a clamp-on installation method. It only needs to attach the clamp-on sensor to the surface of the pipeline to complete the flow measurement of various liquids. This non-intrusive measurement method not only avoids direct contact between the medium and the flow meter but also truly realizes non-destructive installation, without the need for pipe cutting or flow interruption, thus reducing the workload and cost of installation and maintenance.
The TDS-100 is compact in size. The host can be installed on walls, in instrument boxes, or distribution boxes, with an IP68 protection rating, enabling it to be immersed in water. Its small size does not occupy much space, which is a great advantage for industrial sites or equipment installations with limited space.
Its measurement accuracy is better than 1%, and repeatability accuracy is better than 0.2%, allowing for accurate measurement of fluid flow. The measurement cycle is 500ms (2 times per second, with 128 sets of data collected per cycle), which can feed back flow information in real-time and quickly. It has a wide working power supply range of 85-264VAC / isolated 24VDC, which can adapt to different power supply environments. The maximum flow velocity can reach 64m/s, and the flow velocity resolution is 0.001m/s, enabling precise measurement of both low and high-velocity fluids.
It is equipped with complete signal output and flexible networking functions to meet various requirements of different users. It has 3 channels of 4-20mA analog input with 0.1% accuracy, which can input signals such as pressure, liquid level, and temperature; 1 channel of isolated RS485 output, 1 channel of 4-20mA or 0-20mA output, etc. The communication protocols support MODBUS, M-BUS, FUJI extended protocols, etc., and are compatible with the communication protocols of similar products from other manufacturers, facilitating data interaction and system integration with other devices.
The TDS-100 Fixed Ultrasonic Flow Meter is suitable for a variety of fluids, such as tap water, alcohol, seawater, pure water, sewage, acid-alkali liquids, edible oil, gasoline, coal, diesel, crude oil, alcohol, beer, and other homogeneous liquids that can propagate ultrasonic waves.
