The Soil Moisture Monitoring Station is an automated device to measure soil moisture and temperature. It consists of a sensor, a data collector, a communication module and a power supply system that automatically collects data and sends it to a remote monitoring centre. This equipment is useful in areas such as agriculture, forestry and environmental protection.
Soil moisture sensors commonly use frequency domain reflectometry (FDR) or time domain reflectometry (TDR) to determine the soil's dielectric constant, a value that is subsequently used to calculate the proportion of water in the soil. As for soil temperature measurements, thermistors or semiconductor sensors are mostly used to sense the heat of the soil.
The data collected by these monitoring stations are initially processed by a data collector and then transmitted to a remote server using a wireless communication module. Users, no matter where they are, can access this soil data in real time as long as they have Internet access, providing instant information for agricultural irrigation, environmental monitoring, and so on.
Soil moisture monitoring stations are widely used in agricultural fields, such as farmland, orchards and forests, to provide real-time soil moisture information to farmers, assisting them in making more accurate irrigation and fertiliser decisions.
These monitoring devices are also a valuable resource for research institutes and educational institutions, where they play an important role in academic research projects and agricultural teaching programmes, helping students and researchers to better understand the effects of soil moisture on crop growth.

Transmission lines are often exposed to a variety of natural challenges outdoors, such as storms, floods and earthquakes. To ensure the stability and security of the grid, designs need to take into account the need to enhance the robustness of the towers, use materials that can withstand severe weat...
Preface. The ultrasonic wind measurement technique uses ultrasound to detect wind speed and direction and has no moving parts compared to older anemometers, so rapid changes in wind speed, especially gusts and wind fluctuations, can be measured more accurately. This technique provides a more reliable...
Winter wheat and summer corn have their own requirements for soil moisture conditions. For winter wheat, a soil relative water content of 70% - 75% is ideal for sowing, which facilitates seed-soil contact and germination. Too dry or too wet conditions can affect germination and seedling growth. Duri...
Industrial Meteorological Sensors play an important role in meteorological monitoring and research, and they have a rich variety of types, covering the measurement of multiple meteorological elements.Temperature sensors are a major category. Glass liquid thermometers rely on the thermal expansion an...
