Agricultural productivity is closely linked to meteorological conditions, making the monitoring of climatic conditions on farmland particularly critical. However, although full-featured agro-meteorological monitoring stations can provide comprehensive monitoring data, they are often inconvenient in terms of site selection, installation and routine maintenance due to their large size, complex structure and numerous cable arrangements. Especially in farming operations, the frequent movement of agricultural equipment can easily cause damage to cable lines. Given that some agricultural application scenarios only need to monitor some basic meteorological parameters and have specific requirements for monitoring equipment with a small footprint, easy to manage and easy to relocate, the idea of developing a new meteorological monitoring tool arose.
This miniature intelligent weather monitor has the following advantages:
Ease of deployment: quick adaptation to changing farmland environments and simplified installation steps.
Compact design: Minimises the amount of space needed on the farm, making it suitable for installation in a variety of growing areas.
Easy maintenance: The product design focuses on simplicity and durability, making it easy to carry out routine maintenance and overhaul.
Wireless Network Connection: Utilising wireless communication technology not only avoids cumbersome cable laying, but also ensures instant transmission of monitoring data.
It takes up very little space, which makes the device suitable for installation inside facility agricultural greenhouses as well as adapting to various outdoor environments, greatly enhancing the flexibility and convenience of installation.
The device is a self-contained monitoring system with built-in data acquisition module, power supply module and communication module. It is as flexible as Lego blocks, and can be used individually for single location observations or in combination with multiple devices to build a distributed monitoring network according to user-specific plans. It can also be used in conjunction with other weather monitoring instruments to provide comprehensive and three-dimensional monitoring of a wide range of weather elements. In this way, the user is able to make integrated observations of different elements such as soil moisture, air temperature and humidity, carbon dioxide concentration and photosynthetically active radiation.
