Soil moisture monitoring equipment is equipped with a variety of sensors capable of measuring key parameters such as soil temperature, humidity, electrical conductivity (EC), nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content as well as pH. By arranging these sensors in a hierarchical manner, soil properties in different soil layers can be monitored in real time.
Soil moisture monitoring technology uses sensors and monitoring tools to measure soil moisture and other key indicators on a regular or continuous basis, and uploads the results to a central database or cloud platform for in-depth analysis and archiving.
This technology is particularly critical in the agricultural sector, where it enables farmers and agricultural experts to accurately understand the distribution of soil moisture and its dynamics, so that they can make more rational irrigation and land management decisions.
"Moisture" describes the level of moisture in the soil that is suitable for plant growth, i.e. the actual moisture content of the soil. Three key indicators of soil moisture include: the saturated moisture content of the soil, which is the maximum amount of moisture that the soil can hold; the field holding capacity, which is the amount of moisture that the soil can hold during the growing period of the crop; and the wilting coefficient, which refers to the moisture content of the soil at the time when wilting begins to occur in the plant.
Conducting soil moisture monitoring provides insight into the dynamics of soil moisture in agricultural fields, which is essential for timely understanding of crop water requirements. It is an important means and basic guarantee for realizing agricultural drought mitigation, guiding farmers in scientific irrigation and promoting water-saving agricultural technologies.
A weather monitoring system is a device and software system for measuring, recording, transmitting and analysing meteorological elements. It allows real-time monitoring of weather elements such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation etc. in order to monitor...
Wind speed, the speed at which air moves, is a key parameter in meteorology. When the difference in air pressure between two places increases, the speed of air movement increases, resulting in an increase in wind speed and an increase in the force of the wind. For this reason, it is common to use wi...
Ground-based multi-element automatic weather stations are the basic facilities to achieve large scale, long time continuous observation. With the rapid development of computer technology and communication network technology, it needs to be modified and upgraded in order to improve the data processin...
When facing irresistible natural disasters such as earthquakes and debris flows, accurately locating rescue targets within the crucial golden 72 - hour period becomes the key to racing against the clock and contending with death. At this time, life detectors become an indispensable and powerful assi...
