Designed with a durable ABS housing, Windway's Ultrasonic Wind Speed and Direction Sensor utilises the small time difference between transmitting and receiving acoustic pulses to accurately calculate wind speed and direction. Equipped with an RS-485 interface, the sensor supports the MODBUS-RTU protocol, making the communication address and baud rate adjustable, ensuring stable data transmission over communication ranges of up to 2000 metres. The optional built-in electronic compass simplifies the installation process, eliminating the need to consider traditional bearing calibration and the need for regular maintenance. It outputs real-time wind speed and direction data, as well as their instantaneous values, providing users with an easy-to-operate weather monitoring tool that does not require complex calibration.
Featuring an integrated design and inertia-free measurement technology, the FT-WQX2 ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor is capable of activating at zero wind speed and achieving 360° monitoring without the need to worry about angular constraints, providing both wind speed and direction data at once. The housing is made of lightweight and durable ASA material, which not only reduces weight but also simplifies installation and removal. Since all components are encapsulated in a single housing with no exposed parts, mechanical wear and tear is reduced, extending the life of the device.
Ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensors are widely used in meteorology, marine, environmental monitoring, aviation, ports, scientific research and agriculture due to their high accuracy and reliability. Such sensors are able to detect changes in wind speed in a timely manner, helping people to make effective use of wind resources and to prevent and reduce risks and damages caused by wind.
Soil is a key natural resource and is vital for crop growth. Crops are affected by dry or excessively wet soils, and economic and social development and climate change have exacerbated the problem of drought, leading to increased water scarcity and associated disaster losses. In hilly and forested a...
