Soil Moisture Testing Equipment is a research result obtained through scientific methods and multiple equipment experiments. It can continuously observe and conduct in-depth analysis of the relevant conditions of the soil.
Soil Moisture Testing Equipment is divided into two parts: hardware and software.
In terms of hardware structure, the key soil moisture sensors have two principles: capacitive and frequency domain reflection. The capacitive type determines the moisture content by measuring the change in soil dielectric constant. The frequency domain reflection type emits high-frequency electromagnetic waves and receives reflected signals to calculate. After the data collected by the sensor is converted into digital signals by an analog-to-digital converter, it is processed and analyzed by a microprocessor. The power supply system is usually a combination of solar panels and batteries to ensure normal operation even without an external power source.
The software structure includes data acquisition software that controls the sensor to collect data and transmit it to the microprocessor; data processing software performs operations such as filtering, calibration, and calculating soil moisture content on the data, and can also generate reports and charts; communication software transmits the processed data to the monitoring center, etc.; user interface software provides a friendly operation interface to facilitate users to view data, set parameters, and manage equipment.
In dry or rainy seasons, it is necessary to increase the frequency of soil moisture monitoring to cope with weather changes. Soil Moisture Testing Equipment can record long-term sequential soil moisture data, and users can query historical data and analyze moisture change trends. With the help of data analysis, periodic changes can be identified and the possibility of drought and flood disasters can be predicted.
