Automated agricultural weather stations are playing an increasingly important role in agricultural weather disaster prevention and mitigation. Because the appropriate climatic conditions required for different crops to grow in different environmental conditions vary significantly, an automatic weather observation solution needs to be developed that is suitable for the requirements of local planting structures and yield levels. The program transfers the information collected by the sensors to the server for storage and display after processing, and then realizes real-time online monitoring and analysis through the network or client software according to the user's needs, in order to achieve timely early warning and forecasting, reduce disaster losses, and guarantee the safety of agricultural production.
At present, most agricultural areas in China face natural disaster situations such as drought and low-temperature cold damage. In order to effectively make predictions about these catastrophic weather, it is necessary to have a more accurate set of weather forecasting tools to assist its work. Traditional manual models, on the other hand, use human experience to determine future weather conditions and thus make decisions. However, this approach is often influenced by human error and environmental factors, resulting in low accuracy rates. For this reason, automatic agricultural weather stations based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology have emerged, which can quickly respond to changes in temperature, pressure, wind speed and soil moisture in agricultural production and develop solutions accordingly, and can obtain multiple data simultaneously for subsequent research.
As a new type of intelligent meteorological monitoring instrument, automatic agricultural weather station adopts the overall architecture of wireless sensor network + mobile communication module + cloud computing platform, it can provide more reliable meteorological reference data for crops, which is of great significance to reduce labor intensity and improve work efficiency.
