Smart streetlights need all-in-one environmental sensors
What are smart streetlights?
Intelligent street lights use advanced technology to achieve remote centralised control, adjusting brightness according to traffic flow, remote control of lighting, automatic alarm, anti-theft and remote meter reading. It saves power, improves management level, reduces maintenance costs, and uses information processing technology to respond and make decisions intelligently, making urban road lighting more "intelligent".
It is also called intelligent light pole, multi-functional pole, multi-pole, etc., with various functions, helping the construction of smart city. It is an instrument born in response to national policies advocating new infrastructure, urban renewal and smart cities.
Industrial development affects the urban environment. Sensors can monitor data such as temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, particulate matter, noise, light and rainfall, providing important references for environmental protection decisions and energy saving. For example, particulate matter data can help the environmental protection department to make decisions, and light data can intelligently adjust street lights to achieve high energy efficiency.
The all-in-one environmental sensor can monitor air pollutants and meteorological parameters 24 hours a day, providing air quality reference and decision-making support. In addition to PM2.5, PM10, CO, SO2, NO2, O3, air temperature, air humidity, wind speed, wind direction, atmospheric pressure, and optical rainfall, which are conventional measurements, there are also options for monitoring hydrogen sulphide, volatile organic compounds, solar radiation and noise.
The sensor technology in the smart light pole system is as important as the neurons of the city. It can collect and transmit environmental data in real time to help city managers and environmental protection departments make scientific decisions. With the development of technology, smart light poles will play a greater role in urban construction, helping to create a smart, green and livable urban environment.

Irrigation is vital to agriculture, especially in drought conditions, and ensures that crops receive adequate water. Different irrigation methods have specific requirements for measuring and controlling soil water content:Surface irrigation: water is supplied directly to the field by means of furrow...
Sensor technology is developing rapidly and is widely used, especially in the field of consumer electronics. In agriculture, however, the pace of application of this technology has been relatively slow. Modern greenhouses, for example, are typically equipped with only one sensor per 1,000 square met...
Radar is a ground-breaking electronic technology of the 20th century, originating from an early system developed in the United Kingdom in 1935 to defend against airborne threats. Today, the technology has evolved and serves a number of important fields such as aviation, geographic mapping, weather m...
According to Article 8.1 of the AQ3036-2010 Code for Safety Monitoring and Control Installation in Tank Areas, for tank areas where there are significant sources of danger, it is necessary to install instruments for monitoring key parameters such as wind force, wind direction and ambient temperature...
